My First Chick-Fil-a

MY FIRST CHICK-FiL-a EVER !!!!

I'd never had a Chick-Fil-a before, but heard about them and was dying to try one for some two years or so since I first heard of them ... I used to work with this girl "S" who was just mad about them and told me how good they were, "Oh My God, you never had One?" she asked me in astonished amazement. No I hadn't. Number one they didn't have any in my home turf of Manhattan New York. Well not into 2015 that is. So they put a couple in Midtown Manhattan and since I heard they were there, I anxious to go and try my very first Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich ever.
Well the day of me trying my very first Chick-fil-a sandwich came on Thursday November 3, 2016 when I finally made my move for the storied chicken sandwich the Chick-Fil-a that "S" told me was so amazingly delicious that I just had to have one.
There are two Chick-Fil-a 's in Manhattan, both on 6th Avenue just a few blocks from each other. That's weird !??? One is on 6th Avenue at 38th Street and the other 6th Avenue & 46th. I was due to up to Jack's 99 Cent Store on 32nd Street just off of 6th Ave in Midtown Manhattan to stock-up on Aspirin, Ibupropen, Cheese, Soap, Pretzels, and whatever was a good deal so I thought I'd Kill-2-Birds-With-1-Stone as they say and I usually abide by. Hey I had to take the Subway which cost me $2.50 which I'm not going to spend just to go and get a Fast Food Lunch, even it was my First Chicka ever.
So I hopped on the M5 Bus down on the Village on 6th & 10th Street so I could do the round-trip from Greenwich Village to Midtown and back on just one Metro fare rather than two (if you take a Bus Ride or Subway you can take another trip within 2 hours as a Free Transfer) ...
So I hopped on the bus at 10th Street and took it up to 28th street where I jumped off, then walked to Jack's 99 on 32nd Street to get some stuff. I bought about $45 worth of merchandise for a mere $21.00 ... Not Bad !
After hitting Jack's I made my way to Chick-Fil-a 6 blocks away up Sixth Avenue .. I went in and ordered my first. The counter person was friendly and I got my sandwich in no-time flat, my very first Chick-Fil-a of all time. I took my sandwich upstairs where they had seating to sit down and eat. I opened the package containing the Chick-Fil-a Sandwich with great anticipation. There it was, my Chick-Fil-a. It looked good. I took my first bite. Good and I thought it tasted a bit like KFC and its seasoning. I ate more but the rest of the sandwich didn't have that yummy KFC tatse like the first two bites. The sandwich was good, but not quite hot enought. The counter-guy told me if I filled out a survey I could get another sandwich for free, so after I finished my first ever Chick-Fil-a Sandwich I went online and filled out the survey, I got my Code # to get my Free Sandwich and went donwnstairs to get it. I gave the guy the receipt with the code and got my free sandwich. I went back upstairs and ate it. This sandwich didn't have any of the Kentucky Fried Chicken seasoning at all that the first sandwich had. It wasn't very hot and didn't have much taste, so I have to say the Chick-Fil-a Sandwich wasn't bad, but it didn't come anywhere near filling my great expectations I had for one of the tastiest Chicken Sandwiches Ever that I had in my mind ever since "S" first told me about this so-called phenominal chicken sandwich. It was good but far far far from being amazing and anything to Writ Home About. Well live in learn, the girls in question "S" who raved about Chick-Fil-a like it was the Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread (it wasn't) is someone who things the best places to eat are national chain restaurants like Chick-Fil-a, The Cheesecake Factory, etc ....
Well anyway, that's what she likes, I'm not gonna knock her. I myself am all over the map eating everything from fast food chain food to eating at the World's Best 4 & 5 Star restaurants and everything in-between. You live in learn, so Chick-Fil-a "The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Brea?" I don't think so.
